In spite of what the media
tells you, the terrorists are fighting the war on our terms now. On the
ground, in Iraq. Someone called the Rush Limbaugh show this week that
really summed up the war on terror very simply, he is a Soldier with a
Wife and kid that is on his way BACK to Iraq for the second time.
He asked a question: How can do you reply to someone who says;"I
support the Troops but not the war" Rush replied: "How can you support
the Troops and NOT their Mission?" The caller summed it up pretty well,
he said: "I put the "F" in VFW". How profound is that statement?
I have been away from this computer for awhile enjoying the company of my Brothers and other family.
Brother Randy (22 year Vet) is retiring from the ARMY's 82nd Airborne, and my
Older Brother Mark, who served for 8 years in the regular Army and the
last 15 years and growing in the National Guard. (He was just activated
but was able to come to Sioux City for Thanksgiving weekend).
While they were here, we watched the Movie "The Sum of all Fear"
were a terrorist group gets a Nuclear bomb into the United States
through one of our many Ports, that Bomb was put in a Cigarette machine
and placed in a Football Stadium. When the bomb went off in the City of
Philly if I remember right, my Brother who just got home from Iraq said
that movie is a view into our future, he said "That's gonna suck when
that happens" he said WHEN not if that happens. That statement has
bothered me ever since.
I make a point to kiss my daughter every night and tell her I love
her. This Thanksgiving reminded me that all that matters in this world
is FAMILY.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect
Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the
common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings
of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this
Constitution for the United States of America.
At what point in our lifetime have we given our enemy OUR Constitutional rights?
